Royal Road Solar
Energy Center
The Royal Road Solar Energy Center is a proposed 125 MW project located just east of Mamou. Royal Road provides an opportunity to boost the local economy in Evangeline Parish and create jobs, all while generating clean, American-made energy to meet Louisiana's growing electricity demand.
The proposed project area can be found here.
At peak construction, the Royal Road Solar Project is expected to employ up to 300 people. After construction, the project will employ 3-5 additional permanent operations and maintenance (O&M) staff.
More than $90 million to be invested in Evangeline parish via local tax revenue, land payments, and wages and benefits over the life of the project.
